How It All Started
Scott Perry got the idea for the book in 1986 and wanted to compile the ranks of all 32 teams in the regular season, every year. The inspiration was the 1985 Denver Bronco season where they went 11-5 and missed the playoffs, while the Browns made it after going 8-8.
That injustice sparked a mission: to create the definitive record of every NFL team's wins and losses since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. What started as a personal project became a published reference guide that hardcore fans across the country rely on every season.
Because of the book, Scott was named Fan of the Week on the Bronco's Coaches show in late 2013 during the Bronco's 7th run to an AFC championship — a recognition that cemented his reputation as one of the most dedicated football historians in the country.
